Have you ever felt stuck in a rut in your creative life?

In most circumstances, that simply means seriously sitting down and taking the time to figure out how to change your life, instead of mooching around, complaining. It's about taking matters into your own hands and reminding yourself, “I have the power to change this.

If there are no physical or physiological reasons for my lack of creative work, then all it usually takes is a simple mindset shift.

If you’re not living an intentional life, you’re living an unintentional one.

Your entire lifestyle is a choice you’re making (or not making) every single day. As Lewis Howes once said:

So here is the one, simple question you need to ask yourself if you ever get in that cycle of planning more than working, or not making the impact you want to during the day:

How do I need to prepare?

How do I need to prepare? How do I need to prepare for this work? How do I need to prepare for this day?

I guarantee if you closed down your computer and took five minutes to write down the answers to those questions, you could turn your whole day around. And often that's all it takes to stop the endless chatter in your mind; the overwhelm, the confusion and despair.

Just one step at a time, one simple question at a time, that's all it takes.

Being intentional is all about, well…the intention. There needs to be an expectation and intention behind every day. Without that, it’s too easy to fall back into the mediocre life that has already carved out for you. Stop letting the worries rattle around in your head and get it all out on paper. Make a plan.
